My Background
About James Olineck & Dasenna Health
James Olineck brings over 30 years of experience in traditional Chinese herbal support, herbal plaster therapy, pain-support methods, and White Crane Gung Fu training.
James began his training with Grandmaster Chow Chung Yui, also known as Vincent C.Y. Chow, in 1984. He spent many years training in White Crane Gung Fu before being taught traditional Chinese herbal medicine. This was part of the traditional process — to ensure dedication, discipline, respect, and a sincere commitment to healing.
The traditional herbal formulas used within this direct lineage go back hundreds of years, with very little changed over time. As James’s teacher would often say, “It works like magic.”
Through this training, James learned that traditional healing is not only about applying herbs, but also about understanding the body, movement, circulation, injury patterns, and the importance of patience and consistency in recovery.
At Dasenna Health, James combines traditional Chinese herbal plaster therapy with the principles of White Crane Gung Fu, creating a unique hands-on approach rooted in traditional injury care, body awareness, discipline, focus, and restoration.
James has often worked with stubborn injuries and difficult pain conditions where other methods have not provided the relief people were looking for. His goal is to support people dealing with pain, injuries, mobility concerns, and acute or chronic discomfort using natural, traditional methods passed down through the White Crane lineage.
White Crane Martial Arts & Traditional Healing
White Crane Martial Arts is an important part of the traditional healing foundation behind Dasenna Health.
White Crane training develops discipline, body awareness, movement, structure, breathing, focus, resilience, balance, and strength. These principles help support the traditional approach used in Chinese herbal plaster therapy.
James’ training under Grandmaster Chow Chung Yui connects Dasenna Health to a long-standing tradition where martial discipline and traditional Chinese healing knowledge are closely linked.
